RESEARCH
Observing existing Toddler Backpack, current children's backpacks and why they are appealing. WGSN trends
DEVELOPMENT
Made on Adobe Illustrator. Tests using existing Itzy Ritzy patterns. Form exploration informed by research.
SELECTION & REFINEMENT
I selected my top 3 designs to present to the design team and CEO. Continued to work through detail options, such as pockets, zippers, and silhouettes.
FINAL OPTIONS
I ended my internship providing design specifications for two options, the second chosen to be made in the factory.
ALTERATIONS
After receiving the prototypes back from the factory, it was determined to make the lid flat and remove the darts for this material.
